TRU•MIC Technology

The Lyric uses our patented TRU•MIC technology, a pro-grade condenser microphone capsule suspended by a shock mount within the housing. Lightweight and unobtrusive, the mic capsule is mounted just 3mm from the bridge plate. This captures a focused and natural sound from the guitar, while providing great gain before feedback, unlike other microphones.

Critical Circuit Design

We believe the highest quality circuitry is vital to preserve the fidelity of the sound source. Instead of relying on cookie-cutter OpAmp circuitry so common in musical instrument audio, our engineers developed patented, custom discrete circuitry to preserve and enhance the signal from the guitar.

  • Dynamic Low-End Control: In addition to our signature voicing, this circuit selectively compresses lower frequencies, preserving the natural low end and punchy attack of the instrument.

  • Customizable Presence: Because no two guitars resonate exactly the same way, an adjustable high-frequency control allows you to fine-tune the microphone’s clarity to match the specific tonewoods and body shape of your instrument.

  • Studio-Grade Circuitry: By pairing these innovative circuit stages with an all-discrete signal path in a high-fidelity preamp, the Lyric delivers the clean, low-noise sound of your guitar, only louder.
